WSAZ forgets to switch, again.

If it's about broadcasting, radio, TV, satellite, cable, this is where to talk about it.

WSAZ forgets to switch, again.

Post by genlock »

Different progtamming on DT and wsz-tv this morning.
Asleep at the switch.

Took an hour to fix the mistake.
Maybe some manager woke up and tried to watch the news.
Sad, once a great station.

They are arrogant and egotistical. That breeds complacency. Perhaps the boss is out of town?

Doesn't MSNBC stand for the Media that Spins the News for Barrack's Cabinet?

Which begs the question... is there any way 8/11 or 13 can capitalize on this? Or is WSAZ destined to be number one forever?

Unless 13 or 8 commit to a long term program of steady improvement, 3 will be first forever. 13 and 8 would be better off counter-programming 3's news and just make what profit they can from their own news. Put Dr Phil on at 6pm or simpsons re-runs or something. 8 will continue to push Charleston news because that is where they see themselves. 13 will continue to do something, I'm not sure what it is. Most all markets have a doninant #1. Sometimes someone with enough money and vision can change that or shake it up. Mostly that works in much more dynamic markets than H/C.

From personal experience I can promise you that the chumps at WCHS 8 are just as arrogant and egotistical. They think their shit don't stink, even though it really does.

I have always said West Virginia's motto should be "Thank God for Mississippi" for if it weren't for Mississippi we would be last in everything.

Genlock, I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean, "different programming on DT..." That's what I thought DT did. The analog has one signal and the digital has another. Could you please explain? Thanks.

So what is it? Human or computer error? Or both? 'Cause it really ticks me off.

Analog and DT were scheduled to have the same programming at that time (and most always the same programming on WSAZ). The morning in question DT stayed with NBC and analog went to local news.
