General Sales Manager:

The CW affiliate in Charleston, West VA, WQCW, is seeking candidates to oversee local and national sales maximizing all sales opportunities. The candidate for this position must possess a strong background in inventory and pricing control, sales training and development, budgeting, and the forecasting and development of yearly business plans.

I don't know, but my job does not depend on the performance of the fired employees. I am not, therefore, qualified to make the decision to terminate them. Perhaps the new owners want the old employees to apply for their old jobs. That is a common thing nowdays.
