CC Sells 180 plus stations?

If it's about broadcasting, radio, TV, satellite, cable, this is where to talk about it.

Someone posted to the DCRTV mailbag that CC's Delmarva (DelMarVa) cluster has been sold to Good. I guess we'll find out shortly.
Aircheck? You'd make a great board op.

Your spelling of that word is correct!

Here's an article posted in the last hour or so about Good Radio buying up other Clear Channel stations:

Dean Goodman, former COO for ION left the company months ago to pursue radio. Oddly, I understand Doug Barker, another ION VP, resigned this week "to pursue acquisition opportunities". I wonder if Larry Patrick was the broker. :P

If you go to goodradio.com, you actually get Clear Channel of Harrisonburg/Staunton. Me thinks Clear Channel might be trying to fool someone.

Would appear to confirm that the WV markets have been sold.

Most likely to this "Good Radio-TV" run by Dean Goodman.

Our sources indicate that a "Florida group" was pursuing these markets;
PAX, then ION was based in Florida, and Paxtonm whom Goodman worked for, owned a Florida-based radio group at one time.

I would expect the filings/ announcements out this Friday. The next CCU shareholders meeting is Tuesday, the 8th. According to All Access today, the Mays family will be leaving eventually, the buyout firm releasing details of their severance packages.

Is it foreshadowing that the finance company that's applying to be the real owner of the former CC stations in our area is in the "CHRYSLER" center?

(...and the street address is "666"?)

This was taken directly from the application...so it's public-record.

Probably 97.1--they could sell it to Connoisseur, same tower.

Presume they would want to keep 800, but none of the other AM's are that great properties.

I bet their "properly insulated divestiture trust" will be as well insulated as "Descendants Trust" is.

If you're born at midnight you can be born on December 31 or January 1.
midnight December 31 precedes 1am December 31. Midnight January 1 precedes 1 am January 1.
Midnight signifies the start of the new day. 11:59:59(etc) signifies the end of the previous day.
