Bill O'Brien named Beckley mayor

BECKLEY, W.Va. - Longtime radio broadcaster Bill O'Brien has been named mayor of Beckley.
Media outlets report that City Council chose O'Brien on Thursday night to replace Emmett Pugh. O'Brien was sworn in on Friday.
O'Brien was a local radio personality for more than 40 years before he retired in 2013. He formerly owned WJLS radio.
Call him Mr Mayor.

Now THAT was funny, Lester! In Logan we have the guy who used to run the bakery as Mayor, so it could be worse. And our AM board op is on City Council.

I know a few large bakery owners that would do well in government and balancing tight budgets.
