Charlyese (Char) Riley, wife of Tom Riley passed away March 1, 2014. She was 64.

Char formerly owned Bloom’n Candy Bouquets, Ironton and Dallas Weekend Ski Tours in Texas. She was a graduate of West Texas State University and taught art in Dallas area schools. She was an accomplished musician, jewelry designer, and book cover artist.

In addition to Tom, Char is survived by her mother Dorothy Tucker of North Carolina.

A public memorial service will be held at the South Point, Ohio Highland Memorial Gardens mausoleum Friday, March 7 at 2PM. Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood is in charge of arrangements.

Tom was a meterologist at WSAZ and WOWK and also worked at TV stations in Cincinnati, Denver and Dallas. After he retired, he and Char moved back to Tom's hometown of Ironton OH. Tom is a private pilot and has written 3 novels.

Char waged a courageous battle with a neuro-muscular disorder. I was very impressed with her spirit and courage when we saw her with Tom at the Lawrence County Airpark.

A picture album in memory of Char will be posted at http://thomasrileynovels.com. (It's not there yet (as of 8:45 AM on March 5).
