Obit: "Toots" Wilcox: former owner, WKQR-FM, Mullens
Wyoming County education and business leader John Richard "Toots" Wilcox, who was part of the Slab Fork Broadcasting Company-ownership group that started WKQR-FM (formerly WPMW-FM) in 1981 and owned the station until 1997, died Friday, May 23 at his home in Mullens. He was 83.
