ROANE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- DEP officials say that while crews haven't completed their investigation into a possible chemical spill that happened Tuesday night in Spencer, initial indications show that the liquid that came from the truck was rainwater.
It took TWO days to do this!
At one point, the chemical was believed to be sodium bisulfate, a chemical used for things like swimming pool treatment and in cleaning products. It is also a food additive.
These are the same people that let the tanks sit rotting and leaking just above a major water plant inlet in Charleston.
It takes them two days to identify rainwater!
