After a search, it looks like it is going to be a new channel Comet TV. It is a sci fi channel being started by Sinclair anhd it is due to launch on October 31. According to its website, the charleston/huntington market does not have a launch date.

So I would assume Sinclair would push for other stations to carry this sub, such as WTOV?

Here is the link to their first week's schedule.

With all the great sci-fi television that has been produced in the last 40 years, why would you waste so much of your broadcast time on Stargate. I guess Battlestar Galactica was just too expensive for Sinclair to purchase for broadcast.
