Lawrence “Larry” Dale Koenig, 68, of Spencer passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 in Columbus, OH.

He was born June 10, 1949 at Chicago, IL a son of John J. Koenig and the late Doris M. Kristola Koenig.

Larry’s dream was accomplished in 1985, when he purchased WVRC AM, and in 1992 WVRC 104.7 FM began broadcasting. He was also part owner of WMOV in Ravenswood, and was an engineer with the WCEF “The Bull.”

Larry also spent 31 years working as the Director of Technology for the Jackson County Board of Education. He not only took pride in his work, but truly enjoyed the friends he made throughout his lifetime. Larry was a man who gave from the heart and was loved by everyone who knew him.
