Another one bites the dust.

WOWK-TV, Charleston-Huntington, WV…GRENDEL LEVY has left this Nexstar Broadcasting owned CBS affiliate. She’s been the ND here for just about a year. Grendel spent six years at KIVI-TV in Boise, the last four as ND for that Scripps’ owned ABC affiliate. She’s also worked in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Biloxi. Her replacement will be the fourth ND here in less than three years.

Word is that former WFLA (Tampa) News Director Bill Berra is resurfacing in a much, much smaller market.

Sources say that Berra has been hanging out at WOWK, the CBS station in Charleston, WV.

The Nexstar station goes through News Director like water. The last ND, Grendel Levy left the station after butting heads with management.

Word is that Nexstar has sent Berra in to shake things up.

“The staff is expecting Berra to make some more cuts. Management has done this before. It’s easy. This way he can be the bad guy and then skate back to the beach in Florida. More than a few people are awaiting the axe to swing,” said one station insider to FTVLive.

Stay tuned….
