From the Columbus Dispatch http://www.dispatch.com

CHICAGO - The Big Ten Network today named play-by-play announcer Thom Brennaman and analyst Charles Davis its lead football broadcast team.

Brennaman, who also handles radio and TV announcing duties for the Cincinnati Reds, and Davis will be joined by five other personalities who will complete the network's studio group and comprise the game-day announcing teams. The roster includes former Indiana football coach and ESPN analyst Gerry DiNardo; retired Denver Bronco and former Illinois fullback Howard Griffith; former Minnesota football coach Glen Mason; play-by-play announcer Wayne Larrivee; and former Northwestern and Chicago Bear defensive back Chris Martin.

DiNardo and Griffith, serving as analysts, will join Dave Revsine, the network's lead studio host for coverage from the company's headquarters in Chicago.

The Big Ten Network is scheduled to launch Aug. 30, with its first football game broadcast set for Sept. 1. No agreements have been reached with central Ohio cable companies to carry the network.
