Columbus' (formerly Chillicothe's) 93.3 WLZT has switched from soft AC to holiday music, complete with a TV ad blitz.

It's purely anecdotal so far, but I'm hearing many people griping that everything "Christmas" is coming too soon and too fast this year.

Some have reached the point that they're angry about it. Not annoyed, peeved, or perturbed.....angry.

Not meaning to start anything....just relaying what I'm "hearing."
"I don't know the same things you don't know."

"Yes, you do; you just won't admit it!"

I think JB's station is starting with it next week.

I read an article recently that talked about shoppers complaining that many malls such as the Charleston Towne Center start decorating way too early, when in fact they have kept the same schedule for something like 15 years.

I'm "hearing" the same thing. This is nothing new from dudes, but I'm hearing it from women now.

If this continues and if people start to reject that "War on Christmas" horseshit the holiday season might become pleasant again.

Speaking of Xmas...
THERE'LL be no ho, ho, ho this Christmas. Aspiring Santas have been told not to use the term "ho" because it could be seen as derogatory to women.

Thirty trainees at a Santa course in Adelaide last month, held by recruitment company Westaff, were urged to replace the traditional festive greeting with "ha, ha, ha".

So..."ha, ha, ha". How long will this last till some little brat claims Santa was laughing at them?

Also. Xmas tunes this early? :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Due to the way the calendar falls this year, there's the largest possible gap between Thanksgiving (and the day-after-Thanksgiving 'traditional' beginning of the Christmas season) and Christmas Day. Thanksgiving can't be any earlier than this year's date of Nov 22.

The Sunday after Thanksgiving is usually the first Sunday of Advent, which are the 4 Sundays before Christmas Day. This year the first Sunday of Advent is Dec 2 (followed by the 9th, 16th & 23rd.)

So beginning Christmas season and Christmas music now is REALLY early, at least for us old guy/traditionalist/curmudgeon types....
