Radio DJ Killed In Bar Shooting
COLUMBUS - A shooting at a bar on Thursday afternoon left one man dead and another person wounded, police said. The shooting happened at the #1 Happy Family Bar, located on St. Clair Avenue on the city's near-north side, at about 3 p.m., 10TV's Andy Hirsch reported.
Police said shots were fired after an argument inside the bar escalated. One man was shot and later died at Grant Medical Center, Hirsch reported.
He was later identified as Eugene Brown, a local DJ and account executive for Power 107.5 (WCKX). http://www.power1075.com
Alicia Brown, 26, also suffered gunshot wounds and was transported to Grant Medical Center for treatment. She was expected to be OK, Hirsch reported.
Police told 10TV News that the gunman remained at large. No description of the man was immediately released. The bar's owner said surveillance cameras located inside and outside of the building would be handed over to police, Hirsch reported.
