At first glance, I though the zippo on the desk in front of the ashtray was a cell phone. :lol:

That's a hell of a board. No wonder you needed to be licensed to operate it.

That board makes the one I worked on in the early '80's look state of the art :D
BTW,still smoking and drinking in the control room til '85, when the new stuff came in. They, hell no was the
answer, and the question was asked!

That picture was taken when WCMI was located in a big two-story building at 20th Street and the floodwall in Ashland. The first time I was in a radio station was the same year that picture was made. My Cub Scout Den went there on one of our monthly visits. Seven years later I started my broadcasting career at WCMI AM/FM.

TRK? I have no idea where he ended up. Ain't seen Ellery Queen in years, either...I guess he finally graduated from ACC.

TRK Tricky Ricky Kool AKA Rick Shaw (Forest Richard Pope) is in Lexington, KY. I understand he is a Sales Manager for Cumulus Broadcasting.
