If only time stood still. Damn good find.
At first glance, I though the zippo on the desk in front of the ashtray was a cell phone.
That's a hell of a board. No wonder you needed to be licensed to operate it.

Not a computer screen or LED lights anywhere.
I love old pics like this.
Wouldn't want to live it, but they are nice to look at.

It's amazing how pop and cigarette smoke were of no concern to Chief Engineers back in those days ...Uncle Shishkabob wrote:Hope no one knocked over the bottle of coke ontop of the board.
Translators are a Pox on the FM radio dial.

That picture was taken when WCMI was located in a big two-story building at 20th Street and the floodwall in Ashland. The first time I was in a radio station was the same year that picture was made. My Cub Scout Den went there on one of our monthly visits. Seven years later I started my broadcasting career at WCMI AM/FM.

TRK Tricky Ricky Kool AKA Rick Shaw (Forest Richard Pope) is in Lexington, KY. I understand he is a Sales Manager for Cumulus Broadcasting.
