Finally, a CEO that gets it...
He's right. It's not about today; it's what will be tomorrow. Or, more importantly, where the listeners will be tomorrow.
The amount of broadcasters who came out of the woodwork calling streaming a "fad" after the B-101 incident was shocking. They didn't seem to understand there was a strategic reason for doing this: to make streaming rates even cheaper in the long run. Not that it was all beginning to unravel because it was just a "fad"...
However, streaming is only one piece of the puzzle. You have to have decent content to put on it as well.
As part of this company plan, I hope he commits to hire more talent to bring the listeners in.
Just my 2 sense.
