New format for WWSR/Lima?

Post by Ace Purple »

This morning on Twitter I noticed a post from Kidd Kraddick:

KiddKraddick Hey @kiddshow We have been cancelled in Lima OH. Sad day!

Kraddick aired on WWSR in Lima. So I checked out the station's website (StarLima.com) and found this, which is in all caps on the site:

"We are very grateful to all of the listeners and advertisers on Star 92.1 over the years. Something big is coming very soon, stay tuned, and thanks for visiting StarLima.com!"

Hmm. The tendency nationwide has been going toward stations flipping to CHR. It will be interesting to see what happens to WWSR.

Update: according to 100000watts.com, WWSR is now simulcasting the country format of 93.1 WFGF. WFGF will flip to ESPN sports radio next week, with current ESPN radio 940 WZOQ flipping to oldies.
