With 50KW screaming from that 747 foot, 450 ton Blaw-Knox tower. on clear channel 700, WLW will always be The Big One. Nobody can even come close.

They said that about KMOX in St. Louis too. First ppm numbers, they get toasted by the Classic Hits station, the Arch. Ppm is freaky. Still a lot of bugs, but it's the new paradigm.

News WTOP still rules with PPMs. Being on FM has a lot to do with it. Talk WMAL has not fared as well.
Aircheck? You'd make a great board op.

PPM has been good for KFI in Los Angeles. #1 25-54 overall.

I'm honestly surprised that 105.9 did not become WMAL-FM. Their audience would almost double just by doing that alone.

My guess is it's only a matter of time -- esp if Bonneville buys them out.

WLW also broadcasts in HD, even at night.

I don't know if there are enough HD radios in the market to make a difference in PPMs, but it is an option.

It's definitely not chasing people away.
