WMPO

Post by Tom Taggart »

Out delivering our barrels for our "Coats for Kids" drive. Driving through Pomeroy, dialing around heard classic hip hop on--wait for it--WMPO. Simulcasting with WTHQ, 1030, Pt. Pleasant & promoted as "94Q" (translator for 1030). Didn't know that Mid-Pom/Pt. Pleasant was such an urban hotbed.

BTW, anyone have an easy to access copy of "There Buddy?" Don't want to have to sign up for another site to access one. Trying to explain the irony of an urban WMPO to a (much more recent) OU graduate.

WMPO-AM dumped Fox Sports Radio and started WTHQ simulcast earlier this fall. Application on file for 99.9 FM translator in Athens; looks like they’re going to try to compete with WXTQ-FM in that market.
