Jirsa Out as Marshall Head Coach

Huntington, WV (HNN) --

Marshall University fired Head Basketball Coach Ron Jirsa Monday, March 12, 2007.

Marshall Athletic Director Bob Marcum was quoted on a four-sentence release on MU's official website as saying "We appreciate the contributions that Ron has made and we wish him the best".

At a later date details of a screening commitee will be announced.
