American Idol -- 3/13/07

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

I have the hots for Gina and I thought she did better than the she was given credit.

Melinda did very well as did Jordan.

Lakisha surprised me with a lack-luster performance IMHO, as did Chris Sligh.

I thought Haley did better than Randy and Paula let on.

Blake's arrangement was shit.

Stephanie Edwards reminds me too much of Fantasia, which makes me want to vomit.

Phil Stacey is underrated but his bazaar performance of my favorite LeighAnn song last week ruined him for me.

Chris Richardson is the next Elliott and should be banned now.

I couldn't care less about the other two. They suck royal ass and have no business in the top 12.

Sanjaya looked like the middle eastern Shirley Temple. It is sad to think that he could survive another week. And, don't you think it quite anti-climatic to have Fox 11 news at ten to have "Idol Chat"? I mean, wouldn't most people who are really into Idol be trying to get through to vote for their pick of the evenning? Plus, the panel they have assembled is weak at best.

For some reason they neglected to ask the guy who has been doing the 'nasty Brit' schtick since before Cowell was even on Pop Idol. Honestly, it's like it's some sort of cheap station promotion or something....
So sayeth His Royal Highness King Spike; greatest broadcasting talent of his generation.

I may, very well, join your club this season. I'm just not in it this year.
