Hey all those who watch American Idol...

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

That's great! Hopefully this kind of thing is the beginning of the end for this abomination.

If it's still bringing in the viewers, if they're still attracting big sponsorship dollars, if it's still making a mint on text messaging... it will run and run. Whether it's real or not doesn't matter. It's TV!

Yes, but if people lose interest it will eventually go away.

At this point I'm willing to cling to any hope that this thing will die.

Hell, Fox could put up reruns of the shittiest season to date, Season 3, and still go head-to-head with the other nets.

I though Blake and Haley moped the freakin' floor Tuesday. The injun needs to go. Period.

I am with Arp. I am pissed as hell that he is still around. But this could have something to do with it (it also proves what a dipshit Taylor Hicks is).

AI will get the result it wants, regardless of who actually wins the vote tally. The person who wins will be the one that 19 and J deem the most marketable.

It's not going away any time soon, I'm afraid. You'll just have to be relegated to those 3000 other channels...

i despise the first few weeks..... with all the people who think they can sing but really cant

but once it gets to where everybody can sing.... at least to a competent level

i enjoy it..... watching singers push their own personel boundries and try to sing standards or country or british invasion.... something they'd never try otherwise and might not have even known a single song of... intrigues me

i could just do without the "scandles" and the douchebaggery of a couple of contestents every year...

Absolutely. If you weed through the retarded scandals, sketched disputes between Ryan and Simon, Simon and Paula, etc, it is actually a damn good talent contest with a very good house band.

American Idol: 60% commercials, 20% Ryan Seacrest fill, 15% douchebaggery, 5% music.

Speaking of.....

Deal Or No Deal -- average episode costs $1,000,000 to make...and gets that all back on the text-message contesting alone! They also believe they get higher ratings as entrants stick around to see if their name appears on-screen at the end of the show.

I'm serious, let's all vote Sanjahahhaefiw98e7r9432872roihjwf to the top 2...because it's clearly a teenie vote contest.

Melinda and Lakisha are the best singers out of all of them, although Chris Schligh (sp) is great too...

Besides, Sanjaya778e7wdhfskdfh has those child-bearing hips...

Fuck American Idol.

Fuck The Ohio State Un.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is my 1000 post.

To think I wasted it on 7 words.
34 letters.

Damn.

Really??

I like the cinnamon-based ones best, myself, but many of them are interesting. I don't think they even need to be burned to do their job...I think they can just kinda sublimate like something of a solid air freshener!

I must admit I haven't seen that abbreviation of "scented candles" before, though...is it new or a regional thing or something? :P

Yes, and it was disabled. His original account was reactivated, as I said it would be, on Monday morning.
