BECAUSE I HAVEN'T IN A WHILE...

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

When the power comes back on tell me again how the world's not warming.

And I hope you're all okay. Two days without power last weekend and I thought we'd be reduced to cannibalism.

Union of Concerned Scientists?
A very biased group afraid that they will lose their grants.

Yeah, you sure don't want to leave science to the scientists do you? That's always dangerous.
Maybe Rupert's boys and girls will invent the next iPhone for us.

You're absolutely right, Bob. I think you should start executing humans to lower the populations carbon footprint.

Gosh, that seems pretty drastic. Wouldn't it just be easier and much better for job creation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote energy that's renewable and non-polluting? The new industries would create millions of jobs and the reduction in global warming producing emissions would slow the warmth of the planet and, as a totally free by-product, make our children healthier by giving them cleaner air to breathe. Solar, wind, nuclear, the path to the future is clear.
Of course, there are those Luddite technology haters who think things like, oh, science, are bad things that are scary because they make things change. And change is scary, so it must be bad. Gosh, it would be great if we still lived in the 50's when things were simple and we didn't have to worry about things like...change. Because that's scary. And change is bad. Maybe if we ignore all the evidence it'll just go away. I bet, if we're fortunate, we can even create an industry out of people who deny the evidence of science. They could write books and produce DVDs that could say things like; evolution is only a theory, climate change isn't real, the President is a Muslim from Africa and the world is going to end on December 21. Gosh, that would be so reassuring. And then, the world would stop warming, the icecaps would stop melting and all those darned predictions that the scientists make using observations and evidence would stop coming true.
Gee, that would be swell, wouldn't it?

Nah... no need for that. I can just purchase "Carbon Credits", right? Same thing.

More pesky facts.
I know, they're faking it. They must be.
Scientists could never be right about science.
Could they?

Must be an awful lot of humans out there holding lighters up against that ice.

Since it's man-made and all.

Start executing them Bob... otherwise they'll destroy the planet... DESTROY IT, I SAY!

See, Bob... if you'd just start killing off these carbon footprints, you could really make a difference.
