Charleston, W.Va. – January 10, 2013 – The West Virginia Educational Broadcasting Authority named Scott Finn as its new Executive Director, effective February 1 in today’s special meeting.
Finn is currently the News Director for WUSF Public Media in Tampa, FL. Prior to that, he served as News Director for West Virginia Public Broadcasting (2007-2009). From 2000-2007 he was a reporter for The Charleston Gazette and prior to that served as executive director for APPALREAD/West Virginia Reads (1997-1999).
Finn has a Masters of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri and a Bachelors degree in sociology from Harvard University.
The EBA set the new executive director’s salary as $80,000 annually.
Finn succeeds Dennis Adkins who is retiring this month.
