Hacking The CBS Streams

Post by Arp2 »

The StreamTheWorld streams.

Anybody pulled this off yet?

I'm so dang close, but I'm not quite getting it....there's apparently one hurdle I can't get over. Proxomitron...stream identified (I think)....VLC player fails...WinAmp fails....

(And I ask not because I want to be a "thief" or something...my computer just does not like their player.)

Hello Arp. Try this link. http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/ ... DIALUP.pls
It's the dialup feed but is the cleanest sounding stream. When I did the broadband feed it was extremely choppy.

I think most of them use that format...
http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/pls/WTGBFM.pls
http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/pls/WHFSFM.pls

Stations that are primarily talk are only running 32kbps and have DIALUP.pls at the end.

This site is a good one for looking up stream links.

EDIT: I'm also experiencing the choppiness issue with the high-bandwidth streams.

Thank you for those strategies, but they don't work for the one(s) I'm trying to get. Well, the "DIALUP" does, I think, but the ".pls" doesn't.

And I've noticed the schemes for the location(s) of the streams inside don't stay consistent over different stations.

And, yes, I get the "choppy" thing no matter how I go about it on any of the higher bitrate options, but the VLC player seems to deal with it best.

Better luck with the streams? I've had no problems this week with streamtheworld.
Aircheck? You'd make a great board op.
