Large Hadron Collider

Post by genlock »

the first attempt to circulate a beam through the entire LHC is scheduled for 10 September 2008, at 7:30 GMT and the first high-energy collisions are planned to take place after the LHC is officially unveiled, on 21 October 2008.

Make mine a case of Hoegaarden white ale. I will not be worried about the resulting bloat that usually drives me to Michelob Ultra Amber or Guinness Draught.

Of course, if repercussions are out the window, then I need to recreate the magic of Senior Frog's in Cozumel.

Philadelphia is not a "black hole." It is a shit hole  filled with lots and lots of beer and all things alcohol related.

Kinda like Lexington, KY except instead of having a world revolve around college basketball, this one revolves around the plight of the Eagles to not win a Superbowl but beat the snot out of the Dallas Cowboys twice per season and once in the playoffs.

Along with the entire state of NJ and the vast majority of lower New York State. Even the Eagles were called to action last season to soften up the Patriots for the Giants to claim victory at the Superbowl. :P

Back on topic......

Check out the uber cool webcams of the LHC that I found.

A thread about a particle collider, devolves into sex and football in under 5 responses. File this under, "Why This Society Is Doomed To Self-Destruction."

WVU has one of these things.
It is the "Big Ole Hadron Buster".
Newest model is the Dale Earnhardt #88 version.

Huh!

We had a few "Big Ole Hadron Busters" at Morehead, but I do not remember the association with NASCAR being part of them. Of course, that was 15 years ago and a lot has changed.

15 Years ?!?!?! I am too young to this damn old.
