Looking for inexpensive (or free) options out in the wild to generate and playback playlists of mixed format music. Import from music schedulers would be nice, unless it's included in the software.
Not looking for options like the crossfade plugin for WinAmp. I'd like something a tad more "legitimate station" in design.

SAM Broadcaster is a decent, stable system. It looks like hell, honestly, but there are plenty of PALs (scripts) out there you can add-on to the program to do all kinds of cool things, like grab network content, audio over FTP, scroll RDS, etc. Custom Channels uses the software in their systems for automating HD2 channels. It's a real cool 'set and forget' system. E-mail me and I can give you more info, Lester.
