We're at 2 botched WV Statewide Monthly EAS tests with no voice-script.

May we have another???

It's really a test to see if someone notices.

I think that voice-script-thingy is important for those of us who don't speak fluent duck-fart.

After all, it is a Test.

Testing is done to insure proper operation.

If it doesn't work, you know that it needs to be fixed.

The second EAS was probably done after a reboot of the equipment or to discount human error on the first test...

Pretty simple concept really.

You forgot the words, "REQUIRED MONTHLY", before your word, "TEST".
That being the case, a Required Monthly TEST interrupts programming on all stations down-the-line.
Screw it up once - take it out of the chain and test the unit closed-circuit before trying it again.

Pretty simple concept really.

Makes sense to me, although the "required" part of the test was carried out...... it had issues.

The real rub is that the second one was sent, without ensuring that the problem was fixed.

Thanks, for putting me back on the path to true enlightenment.

...you'll know you're there when you smell the good Indian-food about a block-and-a-half away.

Instead of doughnuts, poptarts, and Mtn. Dew, I use hot, fresh naan to sway the network engineers to make fixes outside the realm of normal requests. 8)

It helps to have several Indian restaurants within a mile of the office to get all that fresh, garlicky goodness.

Onkkkkkkkkkkk.......................... This is a test of the Emergency Broadcast System. This station, in co-operation with the FCC....well no....is being forced by the FCC and others to conduct this test. If this were an actual emergency you would only have been told to "shelter in place" any way so we can find your stinking body faster. After all, if this emergency involved you, you would be heading for the hills right now at a rapid speed; which we will never tell you to do. You've done switched over to the TV to see what's going on by now so we're ending this crap. This concludes this bla bla bla........... Onkkkkkkkkk..........Onkkkkkkkkkk.

The more robots there are, the more worthless this becomes.
