I love the smell of burning teflon and copper in the morning.
It smells like money.

This would be expensive to fix, even if it were not on the Empire State Building.
Probably something wrong with the antenna. Even if not, antenna must be checked.
Might as well replace the whole mess while you are there.

ESB is an overburdened TX site with all the TVs and FMs up there after 9/11.

Add to that all the extra DTV and HD Radio equipment.

Master antenna is old, needs replaced.

Proposed skyscraper two blocks away will "shadow" the Jersey suburbs.

Will the new WTC have an antenna?

One World Trade Center will have a master antenna system topping-off at 1776 feet.
36 stories of the final 105 are complete.
15 Penn Plaza's construction will shadow too much of Empire's signals.
4 Times Square and OWTC will be the big players in NYC co-location.
