Audio Editing Software

Post by Lester »

I need to put together an aircheck, and as a result, need audio editing software.

Preferences are:

Win7 compatible
Freeware or Shareware (if it's not crippled up)
Bonus if it's something I might use at a real radio station.

Thanks.

Didn't know that there was a DEMO of Audition 3, but I use nothing but the full Audition 3 and it absolutely rocks. I loved SAW, thought Cool Edit was overrated, and have loved what Adobe has done with Cool Edit since turning it into Audition.

All the people I know that use shareware stuff use Audacity, but I think it is "too slow and complicated" since I am used to Audition 3. I guess you have to make up for the $400 somewhere...

I had Audacity already... I guess I forgot I loaded it. I was going to give Audition (Demo) a try... but I'm not smart enough to hook up my cassette deck to my PC. For some reason line-in isn't working like it should.

Once THAT"S taken care of, I'll move forward.
