Replacing the Sony 5000EV with MP3 recorders

Post by fmksey »

I'm still using the Sony's for field work and time for them to go. I can't find a decent MP3 recorder to replace them with. I'm looking for recorders with a decent VU and mic input. Can you point me in the right
direction?

This is probably more than you want, but it's pretty cool, nevertheless....

Marantz PMD660

Highly recommend the Marantz PMD 660...
MP3 and PCM wav files, mono or stereo, 44.1 or 48K, XLR imputs, no moving parts, flash card and great audio quality.
Priced just under $500 and worth every penny.
