Fisher went to work for a TV station in Pennsylvania. As far as I know he is still the news director there.

What station is Fisher at? Is it the same station as Keith Jones?

What about Shane Vass? Where is he?

I also heard somewhere that Bill White was remarried, does anyone know if that's true and if so who did he marry?

Shane Vass is the General Sales Manager at WTAP.

Not sure if Bill White is remarried or not. I know he
divides his time between Charleston, SC and Myrtle
Beach where his two sons live. I believe his
daughter still lives in Charleston with her husband
who works for WCHS/WVAH.

OK, just found out, Bill White is remarried to a girl who used to work at WOWK and they live in Charleston SC. I knew her vaguely when I worked there.

Thanks for all the input just trying to catch up on the old employees. If anyone has the whereabouts on anyone else from WOWK, please post. I like tp keep in touch.

Dennis Fisher did quite well for himself after getting out of WV Media. He's ND at WNEP, the dominate ABC station in Wilkes Barrie-Scranton. It's the gem of the NY Times stations. My hope for Dennis is a decent owner buys the group which is now on the block.

Since we're talking about WOWK:
Stop coming back into CSI and Shark a couple seconds late on Thursday nights...it was getting very annoying last week.

/that's all I got.

Since you are talking about WOWK....engineer Charlie Gerwig is doing OK after a massive stroke. Our prayers are with Charles and the family. :(

long time empl. Rob Ferguson also had a stroke. not sure of his condition. Andy Nagler is in ohio. Bill White married Rhonda Fiedler from thr traffic department. they deserve each other. Warren Kunkle is back working for SJL somewhere out west. most of their engineers are still Gene Stephenson fired after 45 years there. Charles Gerwig, John DAvis and Michael Haynes and i guess Greg Payton assistant chief engineer and Bill Galloway chief engineer. Charlie Cook and Paul Workman (also from wkee) both have passed on. oldwowker send me email i probable know you.

I did not realize that the horrible reds and oranges were used by WOWK that far back. Whoa! What a shock.

It pains me to watch the news from Huntington/Charleston after the improvements that have been made in the local broadcasts in Philly in the past 2 years. WPVI/ABC 6 has finally got the set changes they need and most of the theming has been updated without a major outcry from the City of Brotherly Love. NBC10 (WCAU) now has a local daytime show that is more on par with the quality that is produced in NYC as opposed to Charlottesville, VA. KYW (CBS3) still has the scary lighting.

Now, if we can do something about having the mayorial candidates wife as an anchor on the 6pm newscast then all would be fine in this town. It amazes me that a major network allows something that could have such a conflict of interest to occur. Even Bray Cary had the balls to fire Erik Wells when Natalie Tenant made a run for Secretary of State.

Who was the red haired dude that used to do sports at WOWK in the early to mid-90's? I have him on video somewhere. It's a nice family shot of a live sports bit where (referring to Sandra Cole in the background), he says something like, "Get out of my f------ shot." It wasn't too long after that when he left. Makes me want to see it again now.
