OUR THREE SONS BROADCASTING will switch its FM translator W232AX/ROCK HILL, SC to rebroadcast Talk WRHI-A/ROCK HILL, SC on 94.3 FM on FRIDAY (3/2). OUR THREE SONS was granted the original construction permit in 1994 to rebroadcast Country WRHM (INTERSTATE 107)/LANCASTER, SC and filed a request on JANUARY 29 for a waiver to allow it to rebroadcast the AM station instead, claiming that WRHI's 1340 AM signal no longer can cover its community of license. The Commission granted Special Temporary Authority for the move on JANUARY 31, expiring on JULY 31.

The station is in the district of the chairman of the house budget committee.
And the Democrats were going to end corruption in Congress....
they've just exported it to the regulated agencies....
This STA was granted only three days after it was requested due to the "technical restraints imposed on its AM operation. Supposedly expires on July 31. Yea, right.
BTW, the only "technical restraint" on WRHI appears to be that it operates on a graveyard channel, like some several hundred other AM stations.

The FCC gives out special treats in the form of STAs when the Rules for Regular Folks and The Politically Unconnected won't allow it. That STA may expire on July 31, but I'd be surprised if its in 2007.Tom Taggart wrote:This STA was granted only three days after it was requested due to the "technical restraints imposed on its AM operation.
