The Sage Endec boxes recently required a firmware upgrade in order to accommodate the new Daylight Savings Time rules.

A few other corrections were added to the firmware including how it displays long messages for costal city warnings.

An example tsunami warning in the Endec 6.1 firmware instructions lists about 8 North Atlantic costal regions and a final entry of ATHENS, OHIO.

Athens is home Sage's competitor Gorman Redlich.

On the same topic, anyone catch Gray's Anatomy last night? WCHS ran an RWT which interrupted audio for about 3 minutes and had a giant green banner with the RWT text scrolling for about 15 minutes. In prime-time. During their top rated program. WTF?

At least we aren't in sweeps. Someone would have gotten shit-canned over that. Someone should still get shit-canned over that.

May be I better turn on the tsunami warning in Jim's units at Middleport and Point Pleasant because when that tsunami hits Athens it may get Middleport and Point Pleasant and also to warn Athens people.
