5. HD is still pretty much only available in major markets. It may be several more years before small markets get it--which at present makes HD radios worthless in places like WV.
6. Because of the cost of HD equipment and paying yearly rights to iBiquity, many small market stations won't bother with it until HD radios are cheap and widely available in their local markets.
7. By the time HD Radio becomes an affordable, worthwhile option for everyone, Wi-Fi will be everywhere, satellite radio will be even more available/less clunky, and the iPod will have God only knows how many more capabilities...
