i have a fight with "inotask.something" everytime i sign on my laptop. it just wants to sit there and run and run and run processes... so i end the process. probably f'n up my laptop but it's 2 1/2 years old and can't run the newer software anyway because it's only running 128 mb DDR ram (grand total of 224 mb) still haven't looked into the ram upgrade yet.
but to answer your question, never heard of kewth.dll sounds fishy to me
(take any computer related info you get from me very lightly, i'm an idiot)

Re: computer question
kewth.dll is a dynamic link library file that is being used to obtain computer processor cycles during periods of inactivity. It could possibly be associated with a virus used for DDoS (denial of service) attacks. Have you noticed a slowdown in any applications? The People's DJ wrote:Does anyone know what the file kewth.dll is for?

You've probably got a WORM. Yes, I said worm. Have you tried the following programs? They are simple, free, and effective.Zak Tyler wrote:i have a fight with "inotask.something"

Re: computer question
No..not really. I don't push the laptop to hard. But I would love to get that out of there. I did delete the .dll when I found it. But it still shows up in the registry.drunksailor wrote:kewth.dll is a dynamic link library file that is being used to obtain computer processor cycles during periods of inactivity. Also...for some weird reason if I try to load Gmail up in IE, Ad-ware shuts it down. I have to turn it off to open Gmail.

use regedit to look at the dll file.. or grab a demo of vb.net and open it up in the debugger.... it should tell you what all software on your machine uses that library file..
