Your radio friend here gets the pleasure of doing a remote at LA Liquor and Lottery today. Where do we start with this one?

1. Remote in Logan at a liquor store on the 3rd of the month on the day before a holiday?

2. Fill in joke here... now go!

I got through this kind of ordeal in Kermit by having a radio on so all could hear it and talking on air with the more than interested customers. Even the drunks had a hoot hearing themselves......and we used a 7 sec delay. It ended up being rather fun. (kept the kid on the board awake for two hours anyway!)

Well I did survive the ordeal. We helped them sell a shit load of Pepsi (yes they do sell more than liquor and beer there, and yes we DO call it LA). Pepsi products were going five 12 packs for $9.00. Yes we do loves our Pepsi-Cola down here. The WV Lottery wheel is the best. There was this VERY pregnant chick with the Marlboros hanging out of her pocket spinning the wheel. That was fun. She was a step away from the kid's leg hanging from her vagina, or wherever babies come from.

Interesting, Dave.

I too love Pepsi.

Perhaps I have ancestors from this place you call "Logan County."

It sounds like such a splendid, magical place. I picture it as orange trees blossoming under a Summer sun...with the wind whisperin..."Nunleyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy..."

I have a dream. To some day open a store that sells liquor, fireworks, live bait, marital aids, and the Tri-State's best selection of jerky products. Investors welcome.

Well, LA Liquor and Lottery sells liquor, beer and wine (of course), lottery tickets and they have poker machines. The people that own it also own a place called Anderson's across the street. They sell jewelry, lingerie, candles, cigarettes and beer by the case (to retail stores only), kitchen appliances, scooters, camo clothing and fiberoptic Jesus'.

ONLY IN LOGAN!
