Ohio State lost and in doing so they made my season.
I've been very lax in my reminders on this.

Since most of the WTAP reporters are from the W T Scripps school of Journalism, I can tell you that a college degree doesn't mean much.genlock wrote:But they have degrees from the W T Scripps school of Journalism at Ohio University (founded 1805). And their daddies told them to get an education so they would never have to work for a living. (they would be bosses or supervisors). It cost a lot and they want a return on daddies investment.

lol...
JMC schools pre-1990 = radio and television labs that tought communication fundamentals for the specific purpose of turning-out broadcasters.
JMC schools post-1990 = newsbunny factories.

Exactly. It's almost a non-sport, like Golf and NASCAR.Lee wrote:No one cares about basketball.herdgirl72 wrote:Actually, they lost TWICE...once in football to the Gators and once in basketball to the Gators!! Within 3 months of each other!

Besides, the ONLY win that matters is that Ohio State beat Mich-again.

Like others, I don't want previously posted smartassery to leave an impression of belittling the value of a college education. Early in my third year at OU (late 70s) I picked up a parttime radio job and, after learning more about radio in a week than in the previous two years, switched my major to English. Don't regret it a bit. Helps me talk good and stuff.
