I knew digital was in trouble years ago, when I read a discussion about 'bit rates'. All involved wanted the "lowest possible". There was no discussion about quality.Degrade the analog, boys, so the crapafacts in HD don't sound so bad

They don't cut it on analog FM, either. I still hear them west of the Ash/Hunt. market, though.
