...but we'll get more of that not-for-air, candid video of her that we'll all watch and then mourn for that piece of our life lost, I'm sure....Tom Taggart wrote:And there will STILL be no-one watching....

Are there any plans for CBS to start broadcasting its national news in HD? It's strange here in Nashville to go from local news in HD to national news in non-HD on WTVF. NBC (WSMV) is the other way around.

Network news viewership, week of Feb 18 2008:
NBC = 9.63 million
ABC = 9.21 million
CBS = 7.06 million
That makes CBS' last place cume about six times that of any cable newscast. The Big Three obviously continue to hemorrage viewers, but it's not like the cable casts are kicking ass. Those thirty-minute network casts are still relevant to a respectable percentage of viewers.

By the way,.....
A guy I know works for the board of elections.....the employees' instructions are, "get as much sleep as possible in the days in advance, show up at 4am Tuesday, bring your toiletries and a change of clothing, and assume you're going to be here for at least 24 hours."

AFAIK CBS is supposed to distribute TV programming solely in HD beginning this fall. This means affiliate stations needing a SD feed will have to downconvert locally.Ace Purple wrote:Are there any plans for CBS to start broadcasting its national news in HD?
