microphone to computer

I bought a Samson premium microphone for the purpose of recording podcasts for Draft King on my computer. Unfortunately, the 1/4" male output doesn't fit with my machine. There's a microphone input for the computer, but it's set up for 1/8". Any suggestions?

If your mic has a 1/4" plug, it's most likely a high-impedance mic. You should be able to use a 1/4" to 1/8" plug adapter to connect it to the computer's mic jack and it should work.

If you're trying to connect it to the computer's line input, you'll need a mic preamp or mic processor to get the required gain.
