LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man accused of attacking a relative with a sword and then shooting himself will face multiple charges once released from the hospital.
Deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office say Friday night, Jeff Turley, 32, from Ranger, used a samurai sword to attack the other man -- cutting several areas of his body and severely wounding his left arm.
Turley is also accused of shooting a gun inside the home where children were present.
When deputies arrived on scene, they say Turley took off. He was found closeby with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his chest.
Turley will face a long list of charges including attempted murder and assault on EMS workers.
The victim also remains in the hospital -- in the intensive care unit. Both men have undergone surgery.
