If it's about broadcasting, radio, TV, satellite, cable, this is where to talk about it.

Fox to move from WTRF to WTOV

Post by Mr. Jones »

Sinclair Broadcasting has announced the addition of a FOX affiliation to WTOV in the Wheeling, WV-Steubenville, OH, market.

WTRF previously carried the FOX network along with CBS and ABC. WTOV already carries NBC and MeTV.

A FOX spokesperson told TVSpy the switch will afford viewers better over-the-air reception and an improved signal.

Viewers will be able to watch FOX shows starting September 1.

Will this affect those of us receiving FOX via satellite? Also, was this a decision to shed costs, or was this somehow imposed upon Mr. Cary by Fox, based on viewer complaints? Why would anyone voluntarily drop a FOX affiliation, unless it meant reducing hefty monetary commitments?
