WSAZ knocked off air

Post by cgarison »

Looks like a fire at the WSAZ transmitter site is impacting service.

They kept calling it a "Transmitter" fire. Looks like a "transformer" fire to me. Someone needs to check the protection on that circuit.

That looks like the same area that Okey had to extinguish some time ago in a fuel fire.
Improperly sized transformer? Just bad luck? I think that is the generator that is on the Barker Ridge Road side of the
building. I don't know about you guys but to me, This is exciting stuff. It rates a half hour show on the transformer
replacement with Amanda Barren in Daisy Dukes as the host.
I'd buy a box of wine and watch that!

If they come up with a way to sell it as an hour long show and I'll buy a case of Yuengling and make some Philly style hot wings (considering that a pre-made version of the the town's wing sauce is sold at Jungle Jim's in Cincy.)

All the time I spent at the Big 3 XMTR 35+ years ago, I can't believe I've now seen this......
Not once, but TWICE now in like 2 years..... ( Holy Crap!!!! )
John Clay would never have allowed this!!!! Once maybe...... twice?.... never.....
This would have been re-designed after the first time....
Next visit to the home world, I'm going to take a drive to Barker Ridge..... Just for old times.....

then you are part of the problem........
