I was driving home via the ATL this weekend and, as I usually do in a large market, I decided to scan through the FMs.
IBUZZ has been implemented on so many stations in Atlanta that "scanning" the FM dial consists of:
1) Start on a frequency in the non-comms.
2) Hit scan once and the radio locks up on adjacent-channel IBUZZ.
3) Hit scan again and you land on the analog station.
4) Hit scan again and you land on the adjacent-channel IBUZZ on the other side of the analog channel.
5) Hit scan again and you land on the next station's adjacent-channel IBUZZ.
6) Rinse and repeat.
Damn annoying. You just have to set whatever presets you radio allows and abandon the "scan" habit. IBUZZ will facilitate world peace, though, so I guess it's worth it.
