Huntington & Charleston IDs on tophour.com
If you'd like to hear them, I have uploaded IDs from several Huntington and Charleston stations on tophour.com. Interestingly, of all the tapes I rolled, the only legal ID I missed was WDGG, which is a great conversion rate when you're popping in a 45 minute long tape at about 30 after the hour, pressing record, and hoping for the best.

Charleston, WV
The WV public radio ID (WVPN/Charleston) is worth hearing because, well, you just don't hear many like that. Listen to it and you'll know what I mean.
If anyone wants to help me fill in the blanks, audio is gladly accepted (just e-mail it in 128 kbps and include at least 5-10 seconds of audio on either end of the ID and its elements.) Credit will be given, or I can hide your name if for some reason you want to avoid the accolades you'd receive from exposure on there.

No....if I'm scanning the noncomm range while in WV, I'm probably looking only for Spirit FM.
Sorry if I've been so stunned by a local institution.....

I have a cord which runs from the headphone jack in my stereo to the line-in jack in my computer. From there I record it in Cool Edit Pro, making sure the audio level max is between -6 and -3 MHz.The Punk WV wrote:How do ya transfer the audio from the cassette tape to an MP3 file on your computer? Just curious.
Thanks to all of you who listened to the IDs.

Thanks, I'm glad you like the site. I'd definitely enjoy hearing the 80s stuff.K-Rock wrote:That's an awesome site, Ace...
I have some old ID's from the 80's of both DC and WV stations laying around on tape. I would be happy to send them to you when I find them.
And, yes, it's db, not MHz.
