Slipped Discs, Worried Staff and Job Hunting
Tri-State Radio Land has been lapped by fairly calm waters in recent months, but the waves are starting to swell, and some fear a tsunami may be on the way.
Judy is so worried about the Goodradio sale that her discs are coming loose. They'll buy all nine, but some may be destined for spin-off. Regardless, when Goodradio takes over it will not be good for a lot of deadwood FOJ employees who have simply been hanging around collecting a paycheck. And if a Goodradio consultant heard anything like the very poor version of the retro dance party on played live from Radio Mountain, with the retired Jesse James playing Jeannie C Riley, Waylon Jennings and others, he would have filled his pants right there. Change is coming folks. The FOJ Protect Me at All Costs Because I Love You Party is going to come to a screeching halt.
In Know It All employment news...
Dave Conley, the former long time WTCR employee, has been shown the door leading out of WLGC after five years. It seems that PD Mark Justice told him he misses too many days of work and has a bad attitude that was bringing the rest of the staff down. He didn't get a serverance check, was paid for his remaining two weeks vacation, and was then sent on his merry way.
Based on the current radio job market and the potential bloodletting of CC/Goodradio Huntington, Dave may done behind the microphone.
You want fries with that?

I guess the great part about where I work is the fact that I am reassured that, should anything happen, there will ALWAYS be a place for me at the local McDonald's franchise.
(That is if I work hard and follow Mickey-D's code). I think my experience with the touch-screens should give me an edge.

I am betting Hockey Boy is sweating a little, too. Shit, do people still call him that.
However, I agree 100% about the FOJ. I haven't worked there in damn near a decade, but I would be willing to bet that all the FsOJ that worked there 10 years ago remain today. I can think of 5, completely useless people who were on the payroll with no real duties.
I received word that J was livin' it up on Saturday making a stop at ElHajj for a makeover. Apparently, it was quite pathetic as the salon owner was by her side the whole time. Huntington socialites, I guess.
Judy should be able to get hired on over at the Superstore.
In all seriousness, though, I doubt Judy has any concerns about keeping her job for the time being.
