Roger CLAY

Post by oldtvman2 »

I don't know how many on the web will remember Roger Clay, he worked at WWHY and WCMI and several other stations in the area. he worked as an engineer and announcer and PD. the problem was that Roger did not have that first class ticket and when the FCC came in town Roger went out the other end of town. perhaps some of you will remembeer him. I just read in the huntington paper that his mother died. She was a great lady. his dad is still a great gentleman. her name was Freda Ashworth. Her husband was Clay Ashworth and roger's full name is Roger Clay Ashworth. he just used Roger Clay on the air. Roger is now in Rockledge, Fl just thought someone might remember him.

Didn't he co-own WIRO AM & FM just after Ken Auble sold it?

This would have been in the WMLV "Love 107" days.

:?
Translators are a Pox on the FM radio dial.

He was an original "Flem-Flam" man.

He didn't have a Ham-Radio license either, in the early years,
when he said he did.

I'll bet, 'ol Bob Nixon (WWHY) would still like to have a word with him
