Chris Olsen, weekend anchor and reporter at KVII-7-ABC in Amarillo (Market #131), has been hired as the new morning anchor at WSAZ-3-NBC in Huntington (Market #64).

new myz anchor for the show starting 9-17. He'll be paid in c-rations and gino's pizza coupons. this is a minor hiring for a show that will no doubt be a train wreck to start.

Time slot is 7 am to 8 am.
Amy Katcher is the suposed met, but shes not to happy bout that...

Since she also has to do the weather for the SAZ morning news, and then the myz news, and all the lovely updates. Train wreck in-deed...

Wasn't that the same pay program for the folks at WHCP News from November 2005 - February 2006?

that is the way that WOWK was doing it and i don't believe has changed. the weather man taped weather forcast for all the stations on the link every morning and all the local updates. they had to creat a seperate switcher and studio for this along with it's own director.with no increase in pay to either one of the weather people

That TVNEWSDAY description sounds like the request-a-thon shows on local cable that featured a dude sitting at a table with a phone, turntables, and a board. Just how will the audience be expected to interact? Requests for more information on Disney starlets? The URL for TMZ.com?

Even though that voice is hard to listen to, she's easy on the old eyes.
