B,
Nice numbers. Give your GM a pat on the back for hiring some quality people. Your efforts are paying off.

WNUS is knocked off its perch after, jeez, how many years?

The WGGE vs WNUS saga is comparable to Huntington's WDGG-WTCR dogfight in recent years. A fresh approach, live jocks actually interacting with listeners 8O and making it fun to listen, versus the longtime market leader on cruise control.

It will be interesting to see if those WHBR numbers hold up. And WXIL is making gains after years in format wilderness.

Congrats to Don and the crew on Rosemar Circle.

Okay, but country loses five shares in a single book, and the winner is the one who loses the lesser amount?

Sure, it happens, but it seems strange at this point.

Well, there you go again, actually analyzing something as opposed to glancing at it. At least the amphibian country upstart did beat the longtime leader.

WGGE has been gaining on WNUS in the open window/convenience store/workplace poll for a while now, and I put about as much confidence in that poll as the Arbitrons in this little market.

I would like to think those numbers are as high as they are because of my news reporting, but it's probably more to do with Big Ric's sex appeal.

ARBITRON has admitted several times that Spring 2007 was one of the weirdest and worse books in Arbitron's history.

I agree that its time Clear Channel took a hit in Parkerburg, finally! If you noticed, all across the county Clear Channel took a haircut here and there. But I think its because people have more choices and tired of the cookie cutter crap.
